I wanted my skin to scream, “hydrated radiance!”
Hi, I'm Lauren and I've recently become obsessed with Korean skincare. Korean beauty culture highlights skincare over makeup, so it's no wonder that there is a whole routine dedicated to treating your skin right.
My skin is very acne-prone and dry, but also super oily at times. So, like, WTF you know?

Charlotte Cho, founder of Soko Glam, outlines the 10-Step Korean Skincare Routine in The Little Book of Skin Care, aka my new bible.
My skin really isn't that bad, but I wanted it to be great. My mom has been doing this for decades and her skin is brighter, more youthful, and glowier than mine. I should've listened to her. Sorry, mom!

I decided to try the 10-Step Korean Skincare Routine in an attempt to achieve that flawless, dewy look that Koreans are so well-known for.
I bought all the things I needed in order to get that glowy skin. Even though it is called the "10-Step Routine," you don't actually do all 10 steps every day, and you can switch it up based on your preferences. I was a little hesitant to try this because I'm incredibly lazy. Once I'm in my bed, it's hard for me to get up to take my makeup off. This time, however, I was determined.

Step 1: Makeup Remover and Oil Cleanser
I used Banila co Clean It Zero Purity on my dry face. While it may look like it's doing the opposite of cleansing (and a bit terrifying), it actually gets everything off once you rinse it with warm water - even waterproof mascara. This stuff is ridiculous and I love it.
